In the past weeks, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has been gloriously introduced. The new foldable phone lineup may also be offering a clue about the design of the Samsung Galaxy S24 flagship, which will launch early next year. According to @UniverseIce, the upcoming Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus will feature a “vertical bezel design” that eliminates the slightly curved protrusion on the sides of existing Galaxy S23 phones.

It’s not a huge change, but it’s sure to give a different feel when looking at and holding phones. The updated design also seems to be similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 models.

There’s no mention of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra here, so we can assume that the most expensive phone in the series will go its own way in terms of design aesthetics and follow the plan laid out by the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Just a few days ago we heard that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could switch from aluminum to harder titanium and also become lighter, so there may be a few tweaks to the design and build of these phones next year.

We’re now at a stage where it’s hard for phone manufacturers to do anything truly innovative in terms of the look of their devices, which means we’ll be limited to a few minor tweaks to the folds and edges rather than anything major.
