Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 was introduced with significant changes recently. The new Kryo CPU trio offers up to 40% higher efficiency and up to 35% higher performance, while on the GPU side, up to 25% higher performance is promised with up to 45% power efficiency. On the other hand, according to reliable leak source Ice universe, the cooperation between Samsung and Qualcomm will apparently benefit the Galaxy S23 series, as the phones will use the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 version.
Galaxy S23 will be the most powerful in the Android community
Unlike the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Samsung’s special edition Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip will run at 3.36GHz instead of 3.2GHz. Interestingly, a similar speed boost will also be happening on the Adreno GPU side: the GPU will be increased from 680MHz to 719MHz.
A device with the model number SM-S918B, which is thought to be the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, appeared on Geekbech a while ago and scored 1504 in a single core and 4580 in a multi-core. These figures are significantly higher than the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It’s even close to the Apple A15 Bionic found on the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to come with significant improvements in the camera area and make a difference with its 200 megapixel camera. South Korean technology giant Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy S23 family in February.
