This year, there is fierce competition between flagships. The Galaxy S22 series, which confronts the iPhone 13 series, seems to upset second-hand sellers.

Galaxy S22 series lost half of its value in 2 months

SellCell compares the used values of Galaxy S22, iPhone 13 and Pixel 6 series with analysis. The report calculated the value of each device 2 months after its release and compared them. The Galaxy S22 series shows the biggest depreciation with an average of 47%. While the Pixel 6 series lost 42% on average, the iPhone 13 series lost only 16%. In fact, the 128GB Galaxy S22+ model manages to be the worst device on the list, losing 57.5% in value.

Although Samsung manages the flagship market on the Android side, it could not compete with the depreciation of the iPhone series. iPhones are already known to preserve their value for many years. In fact, the 128GB iPhone 13 Pro Max model is the most successful smartphone on the list, losing only 4% 2 months after its release. The 256GB Pixel 6 Pro, on the other hand, has lost 47% as the company’s most unsuccessful model. Although iPhone and Pixel models lose value 1 month after their release, they recover a little in the second month, but Samsung cannot show a similar performance. The news that may upset Galaxy S22 users is at least in a better condition thanks to Samsung’s exchange program.
