South Korean technology giant Samsung announced its flagship smartphone series Galaxy S22 family as part of the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event. The main and middle models of the series, which consists of three different models, Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus are here with all their details.
What does the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ offer?
First of all, it should be noted that both phones share exactly the same features, except for case sizes, battery capacities, charging speeds, screen size and resolution.
Design
The phones, which do not have major differences compared to the Galaxy S21 family, have slightly blunt lines compared to their predecessors. The camera unit integrated with the metal frame welcomes us on the glass back surface of the phones with white, pink, black and green color options. On the front, the dot-hole screen continues to be protected.
Screen
Both phones host Dynamic AMOLED displays with Full HD+ resolution. However, while the screen of the Galaxy S21 is 6.1 inches, the Galaxy S21 Plus is built on a 6.6-inch screen. The screens of both phones have dynamic screen refresh rates ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz. It should also be noted that the screens host the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Performance
Both phones are powered by the Exynos 2200 chipset, which is manufactured using a 4-nanometer EUV node. Exynos 2200, which has an octa-core CPU cluster, has four Cortex-A510, three Cortex-A710 and one Cortex-X2 cores. Exynos 2200 with Samsung Xclipse graphics processor based on AMD RDNA 2 architecture in the graphics wing; It offers features such as hardware accelerated ray tracing, variable rate shading and advanced multi-IP editor with much more stability and performance.
Both Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ have 8 GB system memory and 128/256 GB storage options. When it comes to this battery, the Galaxy S22 is powered by a battery with a capacity of 3,700 mAh, while the Galaxy S22 Plus is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery. While both phones have 15W wireless charging support and reverse wireless charging feature, Galaxy S22 offers fast charging support up to 25W and Galaxy S22 Plus supports up to 45W fast charging. However, it should be noted that there is no charging adapter and data cable in the box of the phones.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus share the same camera configurations. The camera features of the phones, which host three camera sensors, are as follows:
