Samsung is thought to have chosen the first day of the CES 2022 tech fair, which will be held from January 5 to 8, to introduce the Galaxy S21 FE. However, just days before the event, the price and all the features of the device were leaked.
In fact, the device was supposed to appear in the fall. However, it was reported that it was delayed due to the global chip shortage and pandemic. But Samsung has included the S21 FE back in its plan as a nice way to start 2022.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specifications
When we look at the Galaxy S21 FE from the front, it is expected to be quite similar to the S20 FE. In fact, Samsung is expected to use the 6.5-inch panel used in this model. However, the leaks show that the device may have a 6.4-inch screen.
As a result, another difference is expected to be in resolution. However, this completely changes in direct proportion to the reduction of the screen size. In other words, it is said to be 2340×1080 instead of 2400×1800.
From a design point of view, a slight reduction in the dimensions of the device is expected. It is stated that this is related to the shrinking of the side frames. The dimensions of the S20 FE were 159.8×74.5×8.4mm. The S21 FE is said to be 155.7×74.5×7.9mm. So it will be a slightly shorter and thinner device.
Speaking of the S21 FE body design, it should be noted that it will be offered in four colors at launch, black, white, green and purple. The camera design is expected to be completely similar to the S21 family.
In addition, it is said that the screen of the new model will come in a flat, non-edge, which is more liked by many. It is also stated that it is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and has an in-display fingerprint reader.
Finally, on the screen side, it is stated that the device can reach a brightness of over 1000 nits. It is also expected that Samsung will use an enhanced LTPO panel type of 6th generation OLED technology. However, it will also support 120 Hz screen refresh rate.
S21 FE comes with Snapdragon 888!
Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy S21 FE directly with the Snapdragon 888. Of course, as in every device of the company, we can see a version with Exynos in this one too. However, it is said that it will do the event with the data of SD 888.
Of course, if Samsung decides to use its own processor directly in the Asian market, as in the S20FE model, then it is almost certain that the Exynos 2100 will be in it.
However, due to the new image processor brought by the SD 888 processor and Samsung will use a 4500 mAh battery with up to 45W support, which is the 25W standard in this device, the company is expected to use this chip without separating the market.
S21 FE camera features
When we look at the camera features of the device, we do not see much change in addition to the S20 FE model. Just like its predecessor, 1/1 with 12 Megapixel OIS support. The main camera with a 76-inch sensor is 1/4 with 8 Megapixels OIS support and 3x optical zoom. It has a telephoto camera with a 4-inch sensor and a 12-megapixel 1/3-inch sensor-sized wide-angle camera.
Galaxy S21 FE price
According to the information revealed, the Galaxy S21 FE will appear in 2 different versions. The first will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The price of this model will be $ 749. The second one will come with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB memory configuration. The price will be $ 819.
Of course, this information has not yet been confirmed by Samsung. It is also said that the company can make the price of the entry-level version $ 699 by following different price policies in some countries. However, this special price will not be available for worldwide sales.
