Samsung has been using the Exynos chipset in most of its mid-range smartphones for years. We can give examples of this: Galaxy A50, Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54 models released this year. However, some users may prefer Qualcomm solutions instead of Samsung’s processors.

Even though the South Korean company is aware of this situation, it seems like it does not care much. It is reported that Samsung is preparing to launch another model powered by the Exynos chipset. As you can guess, we are talking about a smartphone called Galaxy A55.

Chipset coded S5E8845

According to the information obtained by the GalaxyClub website, Galaxy A55, which is expected to be released early next year, will have an Exynos 1480 processor. The Netherlands-based website found evidence that the device was tested with a processor codenamed S5E8845.

At this point, let us remind you that the code name of Exynos 1280 is S5E8825, while Exynos 1380 is defined as S5E8835. Therefore, according to this logic, the chipset coded S5E8845 is thought to represent Exynos 1480. We should point out that the processor is called Rose within the company.

Galaxy A55 is expected to include a 50-megapixel main camera, just like its predecessor. There is no information yet about auxiliary sensors and front camera. We will have the chance to learn new details thanks to the device appearing on certification sites in the coming weeks.
