South Korean technology giant Samsung, at an event it organized, announced its brand new processor Exynos 2200, which will bring life to 2022 flagship phones. The processor, which has 4 Cortex-A510, 3 Cortex-A710 and 1 Cortex-X2 cores, seems to attract attention mostly with its internal GPU. Because AMD has officially entered the world of mobile devices with this processor.
Exynos 2200 has a GPU called Xclipse 920. This GPU can play 8K resolution videos at 60fps. Having AMD’s RDNA2 architecture, the GPU seems to offer a unique experience in games as well. Although Samsung has not given detailed information about the Xclipse 920, we can safely say that the gaming performance of this processor will be several times better than the Exynos 2100, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will have a lot of difficulty against this processor.
120 Hz refresh rate in 4K resolution
Samsung’s brand new processor, which goes through the 4 nm production process, allows a refresh rate of 120 Hz in 4K resolution. Users will be able to experience the fluency of 144 Hz refresh rate in 2K resolution. Supporting cameras up to 200 MP, the processor will allow 30 fps video shooting in 8K resolution. A technology called ISP in the processor will allow 7 camera sensors, 4 of them to be operated simultaneously. LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage support are also among the new generation technology supports of Exynos 2200. Artificial intelligence will be able to actively manifest itself in this processor.
Samsung declined to give full details about the Exynos 2200. For example, it has not yet shown the Exynos 2200’s gaming, imaging and camera tests. However, this is not a major shortcoming. Because, in the very near future, the company will appear with its first flagship Galaxy S22 family in 2022. The launch will provide more information for us to understand the trader’s blessings.
