Samsung Electronics has added a new training course to its portfolio for its new employees. According to the news mentioned by PulseNews, every person starting to work at Samsung is now required to take a training course in computer programming.
This new requirement also applies to Samsung’s finance or marketing departments. Samsung will now subject the people who will work in each of its departments to this training. The course duration is determined as 6 weeks.
Samsung’s idea here is that employees develop analytical thinking skills beyond their job descriptions and potentially want them to become problem solvers in the software segment. While the 6-week training period will cover programming languages such as Python and Java, higher-level programming courses are also offered to employees working in positions such as software engineers in the company.
