It’s probably just a few months away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, but as always, most of the new features and improvements are rumored ahead of the launch date. Now, two more potential updates may have leaked.
First of all, there seems to be a possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will somehow support satellite communication. This comes from a report in ETNews that states that Samsung is working with a global satellite communications company, Iridium, to provide this functionality in the Galaxy S23 series.
While the Iridium is capable of providing voice and data communications services, Samsung is said to be limiting the S23’s satellite capabilities to text messages and thumbnails as it can only put one small antenna on a phone.
This limitation may seem like too much and it may be perceived as insufficient compared to the satellite communication that Apple offers with the iPhone 14. But even text messages will be a huge help to help you reach people or emergency services in situations where there is no cell phone signal.
Another leak is about screen brightness…
The other Samsung Galaxy S23 leak deals specifically with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is reported to have a screen that can reach 2,150 nits of brightness, maybe even more.
As spotted by SamMobile, this leak comes from @RGcloudS on Twitter. But he said it could be further edited and the brightness could potentially even exceed 2,200 nits.
For reference, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra can reach a peak brightness of 1,750 nits. So, it could be an upgrade that could be useful to help you see the screen clearly in bright sunlight.
