Samsung, which will introduce the new flagship phones Galaxy S23 in the coming weeks, has launched an application that allows users to repair their own devices in the past months. This application initially came to models such as Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 series, as well as Galaxy Tab S7 +.
The South Korean technology giant also announced that the program would expand by coming to other devices in the statements it made afterwards. Today, there has been a development in this regard and many new Samsung products have received the ‘fix it yourself’ application.
Repair utility arrives on Galaxy S22 series and Samsung computers
With an announcement made today, Samsung announced that it is expanding the devices within the scope of the repair program. Accordingly, users with Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22 Ultra phones will also be able to benefit from the service.
Let’s add that the application comes to five Galaxy devices in total. The two devices other than the S22 series are computers. According to the technology giant, Galaxy Book Pro 15 and Galaxy Pro 360 have been added to the scope of the repair application as of today.
This application, released by Samsung in partnership with iFixit, allowed users to get original spare parts such as battery, screen, power key with fingerprint sensor, back cover and many more to make their own repairs. It was also possible to access guides for repair via iFixit. Let’s add that Apple has launched a similar application in the past months.
This application, which can be a cheaper repair alternative for users, is currently available in the USA. The company states that it wants to bring the service to other countries in the future. There is no information on when this will happen.
