With the developments in computer systems and components, the need for higher memory solutions is becoming a much more important requirement in today’s world. DDR5 memory, which Intel’s 13th Gen Core processors and AMD’s Ryzen 7000 processors will support, will gradually become mainstream. Samsung, on the other hand, has already surpassed some milestones in this area.

Samsung will make a difference with 1TB DDR5 memory

Most standard consumers will have access to up to 32GB of DDR5 memory in their systems, but Samsung also offers solutions to its corporate customers. In this context, important developments are being experienced for DDR5 memory developed for server and HPC systems. Samsung has already reached 64GB, 128GB, 512GB and 768GB capacities. Now 1TB DDR5 memory modules are in development. Samsung’s DDR5 modules will first be used in systems based on AMD’s next-generation EPYC ‘Genoa’ processors.

In Samsung DDR5 memory, it lowers the voltage to 1.1V and raises the frequencies to 7200MHz and above. Thanks to the doubled chip capacities, a higher amount of memory is revealed. Samsung is doubling the amount of capacity by using 3DS 8H stacking technologies in DDR5 memory.
