Samsung’s first female president: Lee Young-hee
Lee caught the company’s attention by successfully promoting Samsung’s phones and image at L’Oreal and began working with Samsung in 2007. He is promoted to the position of vice president in 2012. He is among seven new presidents as part of the first minor corporate change since Lee Jae-yong was promoted to chairman of the company’s board in October.
Interestingly, Samsung has not brought in a new head of its home appliance business, which has been vacant since Lee Jae-seung resigned in October for undisclosed personal reasons. After Lee’s departure, Samsung Vice President and CEO Han Jong-hee will take on the strike for now.
