Last month, Samsung introduced the 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7 gaming monitor, but the product made its debut in South Korea and Taiwan. The South Korean technology giant has now announced that it has opened its new player monitor to the global market.Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43 specifications
The 43-inch version of the Odyssey Neo G7 (Model name: G70NC) is Samsung’s first Mini-LED gaming monitor with a flat screen. The screen on the monitor offers 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) and has a 16:10 aspect ratio. While this panel has VESA Display HDR600 and HDR10+ certifications, it promises successful local dimming and continuous high brightness up to 600 nits thanks to Mini-LED backlight sources. Samsung has also used a matte finish on the monitor’s screen to reduce light reflections.
Since the Odyssey Neo G7 43 inch is a gaming monitor, it has to offer some important components as well. In this context, the refresh rate of 144 Hz and the response time of 1ms are directly aimed at the players. The monitor also has AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support. On the connectivity side, the monitor has one DisplayPort 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.1, two USB 3.1 Type-A, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. On the other hand, VESA 200×200 mounting bracket and RGB lighting at the back are also available on the device.
The point where the Odyssey Neo G7 differs from other gaming monitors is the smart features it offers with the Tizen operating system. With the Samsung Smart Hub and Samsung Gaming Hub, game streaming services such as Xbox Cloud and Nvidia GeForce NOW and services such as Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube can be used.Samsung didn’t share the exact release date and price of the 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7, but the monitor was launched at around $980 in the blind. On the other hand, the company says that the 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7 will be available worldwide from the first quarter of 2023.
