Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus users came up with camera problems a while ago. They complained that the camera was blurry, especially during close-up shots. After several months of user complaints, Samsung acknowledged the issue and announced that it will release an update for the camera app.
Update for Samsung Galaxy S23 cameras on the way
In a community post shared by Samsung Poland, camera issues in the S23 family were reviewed. The tech giant reported that it believes a software update for the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus will fix the problem.
Samsung also shared a few details about the cause of the camera blur. Accordingly, the wide-angle sensor in the S23 family has an aperture designed for low light. This sensor, which helps to take pictures especially in dark conditions, also tries to capture a clear focus. That’s why it makes the background look blurry.
Acknowledging the camera blur issue, Samsung reported that it is working on an update for the Galaxy S23 and S23+. However, it should be noted that this statement was not made from the global account and a specific date was not given.
Samsung has shared a few tips for users to fix the problem temporarily. First, you should try not to shoot an object closer than 30 cm. Also, the company recommends that users hold the phone vertically while taking photos.
On the other hand, Samsung shared a new feature, saying that the camera application is running slower than it should be. The Quick Shutter Tap update brought to Camera Assistant will allow you to take faster shots.
