Sam Bankman-Fried, former CEO of FTX, appointed Mark Cohen to represent him.
Attorney Mark Cohen will represent Sam Bankman-Fried, former CEO of FTX, Reuters reported.
Having been through tough times, SBF parted ways with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in November and appointed David Mills and Gregory Joseph shortly thereafter.
SBF’s latest move came as regulators began investigating FTX’s collapse and SBF resigned from his post.
Working at the law firm Cohen and Gresser, Cohen most recently represented Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxvell, represented by Cohen, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in June.
Cohen also won the inside-trading lawsuit against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in 2014.
The SEC is among the regulators investigating FTX.
Cohen’s law firm has yet to make a statement on the matter.
