While Intel is clearly faltering, AMD’s Ryzen processors, especially the X3D models, continue to achieve strong sales figures. Sales on the Intel side, on the other hand, are at a very low level compared to its rival. However, on the AMD side, it seems that the interest in the old Zen 3 processors continues.

AMD ahead of Intel

According to the latest sales figures from a major retailer in Europe, AMD’s Ryzen processors currently significantly outperform Intel on the desktop, and the Ryzen 7800X3D and 5800X3D in particular are outsold. According to data obtained from the MindFactory retail store in Germany, in the 31st week of this year, the store sold a total of 3385 AMD processors. On the Intel side, this number is only 1070.

The best-selling processor, unsurprisingly, was the Ryzen 7800X3D with 550 units. Just behind this processor was the previous generation Ryzen 5800X3D. Only these two processors seem to correspond to the sales of almost all Intel processors. The Core i5 13600KF ranked tenth on the bestseller list.

Of course, MindFactory in Germany is not an indicator of the global market by itself. For this, it is necessary to look at the data of global e-commerce sites. The situation looks similar when we look at the best-selling processors lists of both Amazon and Newegg. While AMD processors are at the top of both companies, 7 of the top 10 models consist of Ryzen processors. For Intel, Raptor Lake Refresh series processors are on the horizon. While a big performance jump is not expected, competitive pricing could turn the tide.
