In mid-February last year, the large freighter Felicity Ace, carrying luxury cars such as Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi and Lamborghini, caught fire for an unknown reason. Felicity Ace, known to have bought 1100 Porsches and 189 Bentleys from Stuttgart, had set out for the USA with a total of nearly 4,000 cargoes, including Audi, Volkswagen and Lamborghini. Of course, the fire made quite a loud noise. But immediately after the crew, work began to put out the fire and save the cars.
However, according to the statements made today, although a local rescue team tried to prevent this situation, the result was sad. It sank at around 9 am, about 400 kilometers from the Azores archipelago of Portugal, due to water taken from the starboard side.
It was known that the ship was loaded with cars from Europe, so the real owner of the goods, especially the VW group, was known. However, with the involvement of the Japan-based Mitsui OSK Lines shipping company, the owner of the Felicity Ace ship, into the incident, it was learned who was responsible.
However, according to another statement made by company officials, the main starting point of the fire was the battery of one of the electric cars in the cargo. Of course, the research process is still ongoing. Therefore, this statement was also considered as an allegation. However, according to many, this statement was actually an excuse made up by the company that evaded responsibility.
