Samsung has been investing a lot in foldable phone technology, especially the Z Fold and Z Flip series it has released in recent years. In fact, as far as we can see in the patent applications, it adds a new one to the devices with this technology every day. Finally, he showed up with Flex at the CES 2022 event. Now, the Galaxy Dual Fold model with S Pen support has appeared.

Galaxy Dual Fold design revealed

According to the latest news, Samsung filed the patent application for the Galaxy Dual Fold in July 2021. Now, some sketches have emerged that showcase the design of the new foldable smartphone. This type of S Pen pen holder device could be the company’s first Z-style concept.

As seen in the photos, the device has two hinge sections and three display panels. Unlike the Fold and Flip series, which are currently on sale, we see that there is a special area for the S Pen. However, the pen is not placed inside the device as in the Note series.

Instead, it creates a space for the S Pen to enter when the area behind the 2 screen pieces is covered. In addition, it is said that there will be magnetic fields on both the device and the S Pen so that the pen does not fall when the screen of the device is turned on.

In addition, when we look at the design of the S Pen, we see that it is quite similar to its predecessors released in the past years. For this reason, the pen will probably charge when it is plugged into the smartphone again. So there will be no additional battery input or charging slot.

Of course, if Samsung wishes, instead of the 3-panel design, it can also position the S Pen on the back of the device in a device similar to the reverse folding single screen technology we see in Huawei. However, for now, all of these models are prototypes. Therefore, the details will be clear when the release date is clear.
