What will the Ryzen 7000X 3D offer?
AMD’s second-generation 3D cached processors will first appear on servers and will receive the Zen 4-based EPYC Genoa-X designation. In the Ryzen 7000 series, the CES 2023 fair will be the beginning. Server and end-user 3D processors are expected to be introduced at this fair.
Sources state that Ryzen 7000X processors will be scaled to 6 or 8 cores. In other words, it will go over a single dice. It is claimed that the previously mentioned multi-membrane and multi-core structures were postponed to a later period due to increasing costs.
In processors with 3D cache, 96MB Level 3 cache and 806MB total cache are obtained on the server side. On the end-user side, a total of 96MB cache is offered. It is estimated that 3D processors with Zen 4 architecture will improve this a little more. In addition, AMD will introduce the non-overclocked entry-level A920 chipset in similar periods.
