After Russia’s entry into Ukraine, crypto communities took up the task of raising funds to support Ukraine. To this end, decentralized autonomous communities known as the DAO began to organize various campaigns to help the war-torn.
Nadya Tolokonnikova, the founder of Pussy Riot, a protest and feminist Russian punk rock band based in Moscow, announced on Twitter today that they have formed the Ukraine DAO to help Ukraine, along with members of Trippy Labs and PleasrDAO.
They Will Offer NFT of Ukraine Flag
Pussy Riot made the following statement on the subject;
“Our aim is to raise money to donate to Ukrainian civic organizations that help those who suffered from the war that Putin started in Ukraine. We will buy an NFT of the Ukrainian flag.”
Known for her actions against Putin, Tolokonnikova said that all proceeds of 10,000 Ukrainian flag NFTs printed on Ethereum will go to the Return Alive Foundation and NGO Proliska. Additionally, a unique NFT will also be released for larger contributors to participate, she said.
Trippy Labs, curator of digital arts and artist marketplace SuperRare, and PleasrDAO, a collective of DeFi leaders ‘s members also became other founding members of the Ukraine DAO.
