The Ukrainian government has decided to sell NFTs based on the timeline of the Russian invasion to generate revenue. Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced on Twitter that the collection is up for sale, adding that “Russia is relying on its tanks to destroy Ukraine, we are relying on revolutionary blockchain technology,” adding: “All proceeds from sales will be used for the benefit of the Ukrainian army and citizens.”

“Meta History: Museum of War” connects the milestones of the war with an artist’s drawing with collectible blockchain tokens. There are currently 54 NFTs on the list. These NFTs mark the first three days of the war. The sale is carried out through the NFT sales platform Fair.xyz.

Cryptocurrencies have played a role on both sides of the war, but Ukraine in particular has used it to bypass banks and local currency restrictions, and also to solicit donations. The Ukrainian government announced that it had collected $54 million worth of crypto donations in the first three weeks.
