In the past weeks, Twitter user “kopite7kimi”, who shared consistent information about NVIDIA dozens of times, claimed that the new name of the 12 GB RTX 4080 could be RTX 4070 Ti. Today, Gigabyte unintentionally shared the new name of the graphics card.

Gigabyte, a Taiwan-based computer hardware and server manufacturer, also sells NVIDIA graphics cards customized for the Asian and Eastern European market. It turned out that the brand made a sales application for 8 new graphics card models to the Eurasian Economic Union (AEB) last Friday. When we look at the information on the official website of AEB, we can see that permission has been obtained for 8 graphics card models with model number “GV-N407T”. This shows us that the new name of the 12 GB RTX 4080 is RTX 4070 Ti. The Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti graphics card, which went on sale last year, was also offered for sale with the model number “GV-N307T”.
In addition, when we look at Gigabyte’s data, we see that the company will launch 8 models in total, with the names Aorus, Gaming, Aero and Eagle, as well as overclocked and normal. Of course, this list will become quite crowded with the models of video card manufacturers such as Asus, ZOTAC and Evga.
There is no clear information yet if it is related to the release date of the RTX 4070 Ti, which is expected to be the most budget-friendly graphics card in NVIDIA’s RTX 4000 series.
