READING NOW RTX 3070 Ti 16GB prototype revealed: What does it offer?

Today, Nvidia has released the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080, the flagship cards of the RTX40 series Ada Lovelace architecture. Now, days before the announcement of the RTX 4070 Ti model, a shelved RTX 3070 Ti 16GB prototype has emerged. What does the expected but canceled card offer to rival the Intel Arc A770 16GB? Here are the details

Features of the canceled RTX 3070 Ti 16GB leaked

According to GPU-Z screenshots, the RTX 3070 Ti 16GB has a base clock of 1590 MHz and a maximum clock speed of 1800 MHz, 25 and 30 MHz higher, respectively, than the RTX 3070 Ti 8GB. Also, the images show that the card uses GDDR6 memory instead of GDDR6X. Thus, we can say that the canceled model offers a lower bandwidth compared to the basic model.

While the RTX 3070 Ti 16GB appears to be compatible with the current RTX 3070 drivers, the leaker did not share any performance figures about the card. On the other hand, we can say that it is a bit interesting that the new leak appeared just before the RTX 4070 Ti 12GB model. It is not yet known whether this card will be released in the future.

As it is known, Nvidia will release the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3060 8GB versions updated with GDDR6X memory. For this reason, we may encounter new news on the RTX 3070 and RTX 3070 Ti side.
