First results shared for RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X memory
Reportedly, the new RTX 3060 Ti shares the same 4864 CUDA cores and GA104 chip as its predecessor. The only difference between the two cards will be the upgrade from 14Gbps GDDR6 memory to 19Gbps GDDR6X. This upgrade, which will come with a power consumption of 225W, about 10 percent higher than its sibling, indicates that the theoretical maximum bandwidth will be reached from 448 GB / s to 608 GB / s.
However, the shared results show that the RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X will be faster than its predecessor. The difference here is not a double-digit increase, but we can say that it will go beyond 1 to 2 percent. In addition, the Polish source says that the new card has been successfully overclocked to 1815 MHz, thus offering 4 percent to 6 percent higher performance than the GDDR6X RTX 3060 Ti stock settings.
