The Dogecoin developer said he will be moving away from the cryptocurrency-related foundation for several reasons.
Ross Nicoll, one of the top developers of Dogecoin, who is the director of the Dogecoin Foundation, stated that he will reduce his involvement with the cryptocurrency for several reasons.
Nicoll, a full-time software developer at Alphabet Inc, said that he will be leaving his position at the Dogecoin Foundation to avoid a potential conflict of interest as his employer may be moving into the blockchain space. On the other hand, pointing to the stress due to the increased workload by combining both tasks, Nicoll wrote in a blog post that he will remain as the consultant of the foundation. Ross Nicoll stated that he received the last tip payment in July 2021, and stated that he did not receive a salary from the foundation.
