Robinhood announced at the Bitcoin conference that it will integrate the Lightning Network into its crypto wallet.
The announcement was made by the company’s Chief Product Officer, Aparna Chennapragada.
It lacks advanced features. Institutional wallets are authorized to control customers’ private keys.
Robinhood’s three-year crypto streak has resulted in a massive revenue stream, with the firm announcing that it earned $48 million in the last quarter.
The CEO of the company, Vlad Tenev, said in a previous statement, “Wallets are the first step we take to connect our customers to the wider crypto ecosystem.”
Robinhood wallet still lacks a lot of functionality. For example, it does not offer access to Ethereum-based tokens such as MetaMask. Users do not have a chance to find any crypto assets not on Robinhood’s list.
