Lawyer John Deaton, who played an active role in the fight between Ripple (XRP) and the SEC, decided to support another altcoin case. Deaton is voluntarily intervening in the legal process initiated by the SEC against the blockchain project called LBRY. The SEC filed a criminal complaint against LBRY for not complying with the law in mid-2021.
Ripple’s lawyer, who submitted official documents to the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit yesterday, stated that he was ready to defend the defendant Naomi Brockwell. Following this development, John Deaton shared a post on his X account.
“Whether you win or lose, we will continue to fight!
There are deep ties between Deaton and Naomi Brockwell, who was tried in the LBRY case. Both names are among the founders of the US-based crypto platform “Crypto Law”. Crypto Law works by following national and global regulations regarding blockchain and digital assets.
