Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said that maximalism is a major hurdle for the crypto industry.
According to Garlingouse, unhealthy polarization is not a good situation for the crypto industry to move forward.
Explaining that he has previously invested in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), Garlinghouse believes that multiple cryptocurrencies can be successful. For this reason, he emphasizes that there is no need for polarization.
Garlinhouse, also a former Yahoo executive, recalled that during the dot-com craze of the late 90’s, many companies managed to develop simultaneously to solve different problems.
The CEO of Ripple is particularly concerned about the lack of coordination among industry leaders vis-a-vis regulators. Garlinghouse interprets this ordeal as “shocking”.
Garlinghouse said that the declining maximalism in the crypto industry last month has been very positive for his industry.
Although Garlinghouse opposes maximalism, he has criticized many crypto projects in the past and predicted that 99% of projects will go to zero.
