With the release of the ‘Awaken’ cinematic in 2019, Riot Games started a tradition of releasing a cinematic at the beginning of each new season. However, this year it received a great reaction because it did not release a cinematic like in previous years.
Upon the reactions, Riot Games stated that the budget spent on such cinematics was transferred to a number of projects that would make the players even more excited. It seems that Riot Games was right because it turned out that the company is developing a new game.
The new game will take place in the land of Demasya and is being developed by Riot Forge, which developed Ruined King
In the 10th year of LoL, it was announced that a team called Riot Forge was established and a group of independent game developer companies were recruited to this team. Riot Forge developed the Ruined King game, which we can describe as successful, and was appreciated.
According to the leak, the same team is now developing a game called ‘Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story’, which will take place in Demasya. According to sources, one of the main characters of the game’s story will be the champion named Sylas.
In the story of the LoL universe, Sylas is a sorcerer, and Demasya is an anti-mage and a land that enslaves magicians. Using Lux’s goodwill, Sylas breaks out of prison, starts a rebellion, and escapes Demasya. Then he goes to the Freljord to raze Demasya to the ground and comes to Demasya with an army behind him.
However, he finds Lux, who is a magician like himself, but has to hide because of Demasya’s policies. The story was left at this point. Probably, in this new game, we will see both the development process of the events mentioned above and the continuation of the story from the point where it left off.
