US-based technology giant Apple’s iPhone 15 series has started to meet consumers. This being the case, technology enthusiasts began to test all the features of Apple’s newest iPhones and share them via the internet. Now we will tell you about a remarkable video in which the camera features of the iPhone 15 series are tested.

YouTuber and photographer Tyler Stalman shared a detailed camera review video for all iPhone 15 models. In this video, the camera performances of all models were examined. In this context; Every detail you can think of, such as performance under different light conditions, zoom, Pro Max-specific telephoto camera and shooting modes, was examined by Stalman. If your number one criterion is camera quality and the iPhone 15 is among your options, you should definitely take a look at the video we will share shortly.

Here is the video where the camera performance of the iPhone 15 is examined:

In the video above, you can see with your own eyes what the camera features of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are like. Moreover, there are also comparisons of the images obtained with these phones with the iPhone 14. We will talk about the “action mode”, which is one of the most striking issues in this review.

This is how the action mode on iPhone 15 performs:

The action mode, which Apple developed for professional shooting a few years ago, has offered an impressive experience ever since. The fact that the main cameras in the iPhone 15 family have been increased to 48 MP has taken this shooting mode to a whole new level. In the video above, we witness what the photographer experienced as he walked, zoomed 5x and turned on the action mode at the same time.

The iPhone 15’s action mode also sparked controversy: OK, but why?

When you first watched the video above, you may have thought everything was going well. An X user noticed something strange in the shot taken with the iPhone 15. So much so that during the shooting, a part of the statue, which is the main element of the video, was occasionally out of the camera frame. However, no such interruption was visible while watching the footage. Due to this difference, the user stopped doubting that the published video was shot with an iPhone. So let’s ask: How can the iPhone 15 show the image coming out of the frame in the video output?

All cameras originally shoot 4:3. Therefore, when shooting video in 16:9 format, the image is cropped from the edges. Additionally, when the anti-vibration mode is turned on, the camera application zooms the image slightly so that it extends out of the frame. So, in the example above, although we see the statue leaving the frame on the screen, the phone actually records the image of the entire statue.

Thus, even if you shake the camera while shooting, the software can add the part outside the frame to the video and create a shake-free, clean video. In other words, when you take a photo with the anti-vibration feature turned on, your phone actually records an image at a wider angle than what you see on the screen and enhances this image as necessary with the software.
