Daily DM limit coming to Twitter
Twitter is preparing to take another important step to reduce spam. In this regard, in the statement made by the Support account, Twitter shared a link to the Twitter Blue page with the statement, “As part of our efforts to reduce spam in Direct Messages, we will make some changes soon. The number of DMs that unverified accounts can send will be limited on a daily basis.”
Thus, we can say that it has been confirmed that Twitter will soon impose a daily message limit on accounts that are not Blue subscribers. In addition, users who do not have a Blue subscription will no longer be able to send messages to other users they are not followed. The date and details of the new restriction have not been shared yet.
Twitter had previously imposed a login requirement as part of a “temporary emergency measure” and a restriction on the number of tweets to be viewed on the platform. After that, the number of tweets users could see was capped at 600 per day for unverified accounts, 300 for new unverified accounts, and 6,000 for verified accounts.
Although these limitations have already been removed, it should be noted that the daily DM limit is not very well received by users. Some users of Niketim argue that this regulation, which was brought for spam purposes, will also apply to verified accounts. So what do you think about this decision taken by Twitter?
