The new legal regulation, which prevents the sharing of personal data kept within European borders with overseas centers, has cornered internet giants. Europe is stable.
gave way to facebook
The response was quick after Facebook umbrella conglomerate Meta announced that they could withdraw completely from Europe if the regulation imposed by the European Commission continued.
The German and French economy ministers went to the camera yesterday and responded to Meta’s statements. While the German minister stated that he did not use Facebook for 4 years and lived a fantastic life, the French minister stated that people would lead a very good life without Facebook. Ministers stressed that the European continent has a self-sufficient economy and cannot be brought to its knees by such exits.
The statement is seen as Europe’s rest against Meta. In other words, there will be no step back from personal data regulations. In addition to Facebook, giants such as Google and Amazon will have to comply.
