When tech brands launch a new product, they usually send it to world-renowned tech YouTubers and ask them to review it.

Sony followed a similar path with its newly introduced Xperia 1 Mark IV phone and sent the phone to Marques Brownlee, also known as MKBHD, and many content producers. Brownlee, who tweeted a criticism about the phone, encountered an unexpected event.

Samsung Canada account messed up phones

Marques Brownlee on Sony’s new phone “Phone in the box. This is everything. Neither the charging adapter nor the cable nor the papers (warranty certificate and user manual) nor the sim card apparatus. Just the phone.” He criticized that the box of the device was empty. Under the post, Samsung Canada’s official Twitter account said, “Hi Marques, thank you for bringing the matter to us. If you can send us the contact details via DM, one of our Samsung Customer Service staff will take care of the issue.” gave the answer.

Oddly enough, neither the phone was Samsung nor had Brownlee mentioned or tagged Samsung in the post. This misunderstanding of the company went viral on social media and in the world of technology.

Of course, after the post went viral in a short time, many posts were made about the event. Here are some of those posts;

“They must have a bot looking for people complaining about no charging adapter in the box”

“Samsung employees are so high they can’t tell the difference between Xperia and Galaxy”

“Oh yes, Samsung’s classic phone series known as ‘Sony'”

“I want whatever you got before tweeting this”

“When the social media worker realized this (I made a big mistake)”

“It looks like Samsung will release everything in the box”

“Hi Samsung, I have the Pixel 6 Pro. Me too Can you send me a charging adapter and cable?”

(What a beautiful day to spend time on the Internet…. oh my God)

“To you “They’ll ship a charging adapter and anything else you need. For those of you who don’t know, Samsung is also a nonprofit.”
