In its analysis, StockApps compared the data collection practices of five major tech companies. It does not disclose what kind of data the benchmark companies, which include Google, Twitter, Apple, Amazon and Facebook, collect from us. But StockApps used companies’ data points to show how much information each firm was collecting.

According to the research, the company that collects the most personal data is Google. The information the company collects, which collects 39 data points, includes everything from your location to your browser history and your activities on third-party websites or apps. Twitter, Amazon and Facebook, which have 24, 23 and 14 data points respectively, follow Google.

According to research, Apple appears to be the most privacy-focused tech giant on the list. Collecting only 12 data points, the company keeps only the data needed to maintain its users’ accounts.
