Being the most ambitious company in screen development, Samsung is responsible for the screen production of devices of many brands, especially Apple. The iPhone X, for which Samsung designed the screen, was the first iPhone with an OLED display, and since then Apple has used OLED display technology in all iPhones. OLED screens are preferred because they have many advantages such as higher brightness, enhanced contrast with deeper blacks, wider viewing angles. In a newly published report, it is mentioned that Samsung is developing a new OLED display for Apple.

Apple will use Samsung’s Tandem OLED displays in its future devices
Samsung Display plans to start mass production of the T1 (single-stack tandem OLED display structure) display in 2023. However, Apple will use T2 (two-stack tandem OLED display structure) displays, which is the new generation of T1 that Samsung will develop in its future devices. With these new T2 screens, it is aimed to double the brightness of the screen and quadruple the lifespan.
According to the report, Apple will launch this new type of OLED display with iPads from 2024. It is among the possible possibilities that Apple will present this new technology in the 2024 iPad Pro first. Moreover, the report claims that Apple will add this display to MacBook and iMac devices.
