A person named Steve Hemmerstoffer, who is famous for his smartphone leaks, shared render images of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the 2022 flagship series. In addition to the Ultra version, there are also images of the Galaxy S22 Plus in the share.
Hemmerstoffer and 91mobiles have released renders that apparently show the middle child of the Galaxy S22 series in green. And it looks like the S22 Plus has a lot in common with its successor. Even the position of the flash on the device is the same as the 2021 Plus model.
With the camera bump, the phone’s thickness increases to 9.1mm
In terms of I/O ports, Samsung seems to have moved the volume keys on the side of the phone a bit lower compared to the S21 Plus. At the bottom of the phone are a USB-C port, speaker grille and SIM tray. The phone is also said to measure 157.4mm x 75.8mm x 7.6mm, with the camera bump increasing the thickness to 9.1mm.
Oddly enough, Hemmerstoffer said the images arrived at him as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Pro rather than the Galaxy S22 Plus. We’ll have to wait for more leaks and official information to see if Samsung will actually make a name change.
It seems that the S22 Plus does not bring any revolutionary changes and looks like a slightly evolved version of the S21 Plus. Leaked images of the S22 Ultra show a very different device from the S21 Ultra, featuring an S Pen slot and a P-shaped camera bump.
