After the first game that we can describe as revolutionary, The Last of Us Part 2 showed how much love Sony puts into special games. With its realistic graphics, weapon mechanics, stealth, story telling and environment, The Last of Part 2 constantly shows that it is a masterpiece.
Frankly, the game is still enjoyable to play and offers a visual experience well above today’s average graphics level. For this reason, you will appreciate that we were not sure if there was anyone waiting for a remaster. But Naughty Dog seems to want to take advantage of the capabilities of PlayStation 5.
Trailer of The Last of Us Part 2:
According to the company’s official announcement, even if you have purchased the platinum trophy of The Last of Us Part 2, this new version will offer you interesting reasons to play. First of all, this version will give a deeper perspective on the development process and mechanics of the game. Of course, there is also a new mode added to diversify the gameplay.
This mode, called No Return, includes a survival mechanic shaped by random events in a new location – in a roguelike format. Before starting the mode, you choose one of the characters, some of which you can experience for the first time throughout the series. During the game, you will have the option of stealth or shooting. Since events develop randomly, the method you use once will not work in the other scenario.
Of course, there is a progression mechanic specific to this mode. In the mode in question, we will have the option to open certain characters and skins for these characters, create your own scenario and compete on the leaderboard.
We loved playing guitar, right?
The new mode called Free Play will allow you to personalize the music you play with different unlockable musical instruments. The tone of the music played by different characters will also be different.
There will also be behind-the-scenes content for fans of the game.
In this way, fans will have the opportunity to see how The Last of Us 2 was made. In addition, the Lost Levels that will be added to the game will include some parts that were removed from the game during the development phase. Of course, since they were removed before reaching the end, it would not be right to consider them as complete episodes. Let’s think of it as small sections from the development process. Because in these sections, the developers will talk about the game themselves.
What else can be done to this game in terms of graphics?
TLoU Part 2 will offer 4K output support on PlayStation 5 – in Fidelity mode – and 2K resolution support adapted to 4K resolution in Performance mode. Draw distance, shadow quality, animation renderings, shorter waiting times and other improved details will make the game much more enjoyable and worthy of PS5 than before.
Speaking of PS5, let’s note that the game will come with DualSense support. In other words, features such as haptic feedback and adaptive trigger will work with TLoU Part 2: Remastered.
Apart from these, Speedrun mode, new unlockable skins, innovations in photo mode (such as dynamic lighting) and many more will be added to the game.
Pre-orders for the game will start on December 5. In addition to the base version, the metal box version will also be available in some countries – in which we are not present. There is no information yet about the price of the game, but those who own the game can upgrade to this version for $ 10. Apart from that, we know that it will be released on January 19, 2024. What are your expectations from this game?
