Over the weekend, Larian Studios has shared some interesting player stats for Baldur’s Gate 3, the massive RPG featuring over 10,000 unique, 174-hour cutscenes. These stats include class/breed distributions, total hours played, and even how many times players have liked the dog.

According to Larian, the most popular race is the half-elf and the most popular class is the paladin. Even more interestingly, the actors spent a total of 88 years in the character creator. It’s a very long time, so it looks like players have done more than just a simple character as most of them did in the first part of early access.

In Baldur’s Gate 3, you can play with one of the pre-made original characters or as a special character; these characters also act as your party members. 93 percent of people have created their own characters, but we were really surprised to find that Gale was the most popular choice among the original characters. Besides being the most popular origin character, Gale is also very popular for killing players, ranking 7th among the causes of death for players.

However, besides all these statistics, there is a statistic that is seriously thought-provoking. According to Larian’s blog, a total of 1,225 years of Baldur’s Gate 3 were played during the launch weekend. That’s almost as long as the build time. And 368 people managed to finish the game almost in that 3-day weekend.
