Our esteemed artist Refik Anadol, who creates eye-catching works with unusual methods, took part in many important projects and brought his works together with important companies. The works of the artist, which are shown in important places, are appreciated around the world, and in this context, the artist is running from success to success.

A new one has been added to these achievements today. In his announcement on his X (Twitter) account, Refik Anadol announced that he is the first artist of The Sphere, which has illuminated Las Vegas since July 4th. In this context, the works of the artist will be exhibited on this gigantic structure that sits on the world agenda.

On September 29, The Sphere will open to visitors.

The Sphere, which has an area of 54,000 square meters, will host the U2 concert on September 29. Until this time, an arts program will continue at the Exosphere (the name given to The Sphere’s exterior). Refik Anadol will also be the first artist to take advantage of the 54,000 square meter area – also known as the huge billboard – in 360 degrees.

The work that will be specially prepared for The Sphere will be Anadol’s data sculpture named “Machine Hallucinations: Sphere”. In other words, the opening of the art program, which started this month, was made with the work of Refik Anadol. It will continue for 4 months.

Taking advantage of dynamic programming, the artist and his team created two versions of the work. In this context, these two versions will be played in different colors, alignment and speed each time, providing diversity.

Although it is not a work very different from the previous ones, Refik Anadol said that this extraordinary canvas (The Sphere) requires a new algorithm and way of thinking.
