After months of leaks and rumors, Xiaomi has finally introduced its first Redmi-branded tablet. The model, called Redmi Pad, offers a 7.1 mm thick metal body, a good screen and high-quality sound experience.
The device appeared with a 10.6-inch LCD screen with 2K (2000 × 1200 pixels) resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. The tablet, which includes four speakers with Dolby Atmos support, comes with MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 3/4/6 GB RAM and 64/128 internal storage options.
8,000 mAh battery and three color options
The Redmi Pad is equipped with an 8MP main camera with autofocus and an 8MP front camera with a 105-degree field of view. It gets the energy it needs from its 8,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support (enough for 21 hours of video watching and 12 hours of gaming).
It should be noted that the tablet comes out of the box with the Android 12-based MIUI 13 interface installed. In addition, the manufacturer promises three years of security and MIUI updates, along with two major Android updates. Redmi Pad is available in grey, silver and mint green colours.
Sales will begin in India as of October 5, after which the device will be launched in other countries.
