The new phones of Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi, whose popularity is increasing day by day in our country, are on the way. The company, which came out with the Note 11 series this year, is preparing to introduce the phone models called K60 to users this time. Introducing the new Redmi K60 series using Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

In the past weeks, Qualcomm has held technology events. Along with the events, the new processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 was officially announced. Apparently, Redmi is also involved in the race to be the first brand to use the new platform with the K60 series.
The series, which is expected to be introduced in December this year, will consist of three models: Redmi K60, K60 Pro and K60E. The regular model without the “Pro” suffix will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Features of the Redmi K60 series
For some unknown reason, the flat model uses the new processor, while the K60 Pro model is expected to come with the previous platform, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Kacper Skrzypek, who shares leaks about the device, says “don’t ask why” about this confusing situation.
Another member of the series, the K60E, is expected to use a MediaTek processor. However, it is not clear which platform this will be. Despite all this, the Redmi K60 is said to be the most affordable model in the series.
The Redmi K60 will have a 6.67-inch display with 2K resolution. The storage part of the device, which is expected to offer up to 12 GB of RAM, is unknown. The 64MP sensor with optical image stabilization will be the main camera of the device. In addition, 8MP ultra-wide angle and 2MP macro sensors will take their place on the back. On the front, a 16MP selfie camera will face the user. There is no clear information about the features of the other members of the series other than the main model.
The new series is also called by other names. The K60’s codename will be socrates, the K60 Pro’s codename will be mondrian, and the K60E’s codename will be rembrant. Finally, it is not known at what prices the phones will be announced.
