Qualcomm is preparing to introduce its next-generation flagship chip Snapdragon 898 soon. The announcement of a new flagship SoC usually takes place in December; so in two months we will have a new chip. This also means that the competition between smartphone vendors is getting even hotter.

Everyone is scrambling to launch a new chip; however, as we have seen in the last 2-3 years, Xiaomi will be the first to launch a smartphone powered by this processor. This is also a pretty good chance for Redmi to release its flagship smartphone sooner than its competitors. The main candidate seems to be the Redmi K50.

The series will include three different models

We’ve heard a lot of rumors lately about the configuration of the Redmi K50 series. It is almost confirmed that the series, which is one of these rumors, will include three models. Interestingly, it looks like all three models will have different key features. Moreover, they will be quite different models in terms of photography. The vanilla variant will have a 48MP main camera while the higher version will have a 50MP main camera. The top version will be supported by a 108MP main camera.

Its predecessor, the Redmi K40, had a highly advanced camera; therefore, it would not be wrong to think that the manufacturer will continue this trend and that the Redmi K50 will be even more powerful in terms of camera.

There will be no change in the remaining features, except for the processor, camera and fast charging rate.

There will be three models: Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro+. Except for the processor, camera and fast charging rate, the remaining features will be the same.

In terms of processors, the highest version (Redmi K50 Pro+) will be Redmi K50 Pro+ with Snapdragon 898. While it is said that the Redmi K50 Pro will have a Snapdragon 888 processor, there is still no definite information about the vanilla version.

In addition to performance and imaging system updates, it is also rumored that the Redmi K50 series will support 100W fast charging for the first time and will provide fast charging up to 120W; however, the latter will only be available in the Pro+ variant. In this context, the Pro version should support 100W charging, while the vanilla version should only support 67W charging.
