Xiaomi introduced the first member of the Redmi K50 series at its event in China earlier in the day. Redmi K50 Gaming, the successor model of K40 Gaming, which was released last year, appeared with its features and remarkable design.
Powered by Qualcomm’s newest flagship processor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which is also used in the Galaxy S22 series, the phone has 120W fast charging support. As a result of the partnership with Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One, the team’s badge and colors are on the body of the phone.

K40 Gaming, the phone, which has dual physical game triggers on the right, also hosts JBL-optimized dual speakers and CyberEngine vibration engine. In this way, it is aimed for the players to get the best experience, while the back of the phone is glass.
Xiaomi has developed a new cooling system to keep the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and other components inside the phone cool. In this cooling system, which uses double graphite sheets and stainless steel material, copper radiators come up to the processor.
Redmi K50 Gaming’s 6.67 inch AMOLED display offers Full HD + resolution. This screen, which has a 120 Hz refresh rate, offers a great advantage in games with its 480 Hz touch sampling rate. The 10-bit color supported screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.
While there is a 20 Megapixel Sony IMX 596 camera on the front of the device, 64 Megapixel Sony IMX 686 main camera is on the back. The rear camera is accompanied by an 8 Megapixel ultra wide and 2 Megapixel tele-macro camera.
Being quite ambitious with 120W fast charging support, Xiaomi states that the device’s 4700 mAh battery can be fully charged in as little as 17 minutes. In a scenario where the phone is charged while actively playing games, a full charge was reached in 37 minutes.
Redmi K50 Gaming, which comes out of the box with Android 12 operating system and MIUI 13 user interface, supports Wi-Fi 6E technology.
