Steam, which is one of the platforms that brings all players together in the gaming world, has been ignoring its mobile application for a while, although it constantly updates its desktop application. The mobile application, which users use especially for Steam Guard, will now have a design that will make it ‘more usable’.
The developer of Steam, Valve, has finally decided to redesign its mobile app, which has an extremely old and primitive look. In addition to the new design, the application also gained some important features. Let’s take a closer look at the new Steam mobile app.
Introducing the new Steam mobile app:
Steam’s renewed mobile application will now carry a much cleaner-looking design. Players will be able to get rid of the hamburger menu on the left and access the most important pages from the menu added at the bottom of the application. The new hamburger menu in the menu will include links that allow you to access areas such as the Community.
A great convenience has been introduced for Steam Guard:
With the revamp of Steam’s mobile app, a big feature has also been introduced. Users will no longer just have to manually enter the Steam Guard code to log into their Steam account. The QR code, which will be displayed on the Steam desktop application, will be scanned with the mobile application, allowing easier access to the account.
The renewed version of the mobile application is not currently available to all users. Valve continues to beta test the app on iOS and Android platforms. You can become an Android tester by clicking this link to access the beta version of the application. To access the beta version on iOS, you need to use Apple’s TestFlight application.
