You don’t need a crypto wallet to buy Reddit’s new NFT profile pictures; It is enough to have a debit or credit card. NFT avatars can be stored in Reddit’s own wallet product. The NFT profile photos available for sale in the early access phase are quite large. When one of the limited number of NFTs is purchased, license rights are also obtained to use it as an avatar on or off Reddit.
As you may recall, this is not Reddit’s first NFT attempt. The company had begun testing a feature that would allow users to set any Ethereum-based NFT as their profile picture, weeks after Twitter rolled out a similar function earlier this year.

Its own blockchain wallet, called vault, available in Reddit’s native app, can be used to store and manage NFTs. Vault is currently used to earn blockchain-based community points. Points are required to access special features like badges and animated emojis.
NFT avatar prices
NFT avatars will only be available to invited subgroup members of r/CollectibleAvatars today. There are no auctions, all NFTs have a fixed price and start at $9.9 and go up to $99.99. It was stated that avatar collections for those who are not members of this community will be open to everyone in the coming weeks.
