In a content we shared with you recently, we mentioned that the world’s largest microblogging platform Twitter has launched a new feature for users with NFT. This feature allows a purchased NFT to be used as a profile photo, the profile photo’s appearance being hexagonal. Elon Musk, who is interested in the crypto money community, explained that it was just nonsense. However, recent developments suggest that the NFT profile photo initiative may turn into a trend.

Reddit, one of the world’s largest social networks, announced that it has started testing a new feature that allows NFTs to be used as profile photos. The feature, which is still in its early stages, only supports Reddit’s own NFT collection, CryptoSnoos, for now. Reddit has announced that users will not be able to take advantage of this feature for now.

Details of the feature not disclosed

The feature that Reddit is working on was first discovered by indie developer Nima Owji. Owji said that he could not obtain detailed information in the screenshot he shared, but he thought that the screenshot he reached would support more than the CryptoSnoos collection. This was because the screenshot above also included NFT-like images other than CryptoSnoos.

Speaking to TechCrunch, Reddit officials did not give a secret about the issue. In the statements made, the details of this feature were not mentioned in any way. For example, the feature offered by Twitter provides access to all the details about NFT when the profile photo is clicked. However, it is not known whether such a thing will happen in the feature that Reddit is testing. Similarly, it is currently unknown whether NFT profile photos will be shown in the same design as other users, or whether changes will be made at this point as in Twitter.
