Xian Yu, founder of blockchain analysis firm SlowMist, announced that some FriendTech accounts were hacked and lost their assets.

Xian Yu, founder of popular blockchain analysis company SlowMist, made a striking statement in the morning. Stating that FriendTech, one of the SocialFi projects that have caused havoc in the recent period, was attacked, Yu announced that the assets in the relevant accounts were seized. FriendTech, which continues to have problems with phone number, e-mail and Apple account-related services, has become the new victim of attackers.

Users’ anxiety is increasing!

FriendTech accounts, which can be easily accessed by attackers due to basic security vulnerabilities, spread fear in the ecosystem. SocialFi projects triggered by FriendTech again created panic with FriendTech during this period. FriendTech, which has been experiencing various problems with services related to phone numbers, e-mails and Apple IDs, has not yet made a statement about the attack.

In addition to the internal technical glitches experienced by FriendTech, the launch of many SocialFi projects was confusing. PostTech, which has recently made AirDrop, is among FriendTech’s biggest competitors. Considering that the SocialFi craze is still very new, it seems that systemic problems and user concerns will continue for a while.
