The Xiaomi brand has announced a very successful Redmi flash sale in China. The company announced on Weibo that 300,000 units of the first batch of Redmi K60 phones were sold in 5 minutes. It has also been proven that users find new features attractive such as the 1220p display, wireless charging and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset of the Pro variant.
The Redmi K60 series consists of three phones. Premium Redmi K60E using Dimensity 8200 processor, flagship Redmi K60 with Snapdragon 8Gen 1 and Redmi K60 Pro with 50 MP camera with Sony IMX890 sensor and 120W fast charging.
The number of devices sold sounds impressive because, with simple math, it reveals that 100 units are purchased per second. However, this number falls short of the 330,000 units sold of the previous Redmi K50 series, which included only two smartphones.
Only time will tell whether the overall sales of the Redmi K60 will surpass the previous series, but surveys make it clear that the Redmi K60 Pro is a desirable smartphone.
