With a series of five videos, Google demonstrates how simple and smooth the transition from iPhone to Android is. With the slogan “Everything is fine with Google on Android”, the videos are very short and focus on four features of Android:
- Privacy and security
- emoji reactions
- Photo transfer
- Device compatibility
Play Protect provides proactive protection by scanning the apps installed on your phone for malware. Depending on the threat, you are prompted to uninstall the harmful applications or they are automatically removed. According to Google, texting on Android is a lot of fun, contrary to popular belief. SMS/RCS messages can be replied with emojis. Google also specifically states that there is no iMessage in its operating system.
Google says that when transferring iPhone users’ data to Android, a copy of their photos, files, contacts and apps is created and nothing on the old phone is deleted. Google’s Migration to Android app is available, but interestingly, Google Photos backup is excluded from transfer.
Finally, Google talks about device compatibility. It shows how easily Android phones can connect to speakers, headphones, smart home devices and more, and how fast the pairing process is.
At the end of all the videos, it is pointed out that iPhone users can do more when they switch to Android.
