realme has officially introduced three world-first technologies at the realme GT 2 Series Special Event. Continuous technology and design innovations have always been the cornerstones of realme’s rapid growth performance. GT 2 series, realme’s first and top class flagship phone, has three world-first features: back cover made of biopolymer material, 150° ultra-wide angle camera and realme’s Advanced Innovative Communication.
The world’s first Master Design biopolymer material
realme GT 2 Pro has a paper-inspired minimalist and sustainability-oriented design. This “Master Design with Paper Technology” created by the famous Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa makes the realme GT 2 Pro the world’s first smartphone designed with bio-based materials.
A biopolymer material was used on the back cover of GT 2 Pro, which offers an environmentally friendly alternative to fossil raw materials that contribute to global warming. SABIC bio-based material has not only achieved ISCC International Sustainability and Carbon Certification, but has also passed various stringent environmental regulatory standards such as REACH, RoHS and EPEAT. In addition, realme’s new box design has reduced the total plastic ratio from 21.7% in the previous generation to 0.3% in this model.
World’s first 150° ultra wide-angle camera with fisheye mode
Ultra wide-angle lenses are often used in landscape and construction photography, as they allow the camera to capture a wider perspective in each photo. realme GT 2 Pro is the first smartphone to offer a 150° ultra-wide angle camera. This ultra-wide-angle camera enlarges the phone’s field of view by 278% compared to the 84° field of view of the main camera.
realme also developed the world’s first fisheye mod for smartphones in GT 2 Pro. This mode creates a powerful perspective and ultra-long depth of field effect. With the wide field of view, the whole picture becomes even more visually appealing.
Advanced Innovative Communication with Steady Signal and 360°NFC
realme GT 2 Pro is equipped with Antenna Array Matrix System consisting of three technologies: the world’s first ultra-wideband antenna connection technology (HyperSmart), Wi-Fi Enhancer and 360° near field communication (NFC) technology.
realme’s Hyper Smart antenna connection technology is designed with 12 peripheral antennas covering all sides of the phone and supports basebands with almost all the same signal strength in all directions. This allows GT 2 Pro to intelligently evaluate the signal strength of all antennas and automatically select the one with the best signal.
In terms of Wi-Fi network booster, the symmetrical Wi-Fi antenna is designed to provide a more stable signal strength around the phone. In realme’s tests, this design increased the signal stability by 20% compared to the asymmetrical Wi-Fi antenna design.
realme GT 2 Pro also integrates the top two cellular antennas with an NFC signal transceiver, increasing the detection area by 500% and the detection distance by 20%. The entire top of the GT 2 Pro detects NFC signals in both directions, making it easy to use NFC to swipe cards or smartphones.
